MAXIMUM WEB TENSION vs PROCESS TEMPERATURE

When subjected to loading (tension) below its yield point, HOSTAPHAN ® will elongate (stretch) in proportion to the applied tension and will return to its original state when the load is released. Loading above this yield point will result in permanent deformation of the web.

Tension is defined as the total pulling force applied to a web in the machine direction, measured in pounds force/in width/mil.

The curves shown below represent the maximum level of tension for HOSTAPHAN ® at varying temperatures.
